It’s 8 am Sunday morning. 7 degrees Celsius. Cats are asleep, hubby is asleep, the grown son is asleep.
All is quiet. Except for me and the local pterodactyls (sulphur-crested cockatoo’s). I think the unique sound they emit- sounds prehistoric, I can imagine the pterodactyls flying overhead and screeching before swooping down and knocking off this one particular cockatoo, sitting on my balcony and yelling at me everytime I move. Ah!
I suppose that’s what you call noisy neighbours. 😛
As you can see not a lot has happened, even post Covid. A fact I’m really grateful for, though I don’t have a lot of fodder for writing stuff.
Speaking of some fodder, I spent some time at the shops yesterday and noticed that Not one person (except for me ) wore a mask. Strange when you compare the photos of the Black Lives Matter protest and nearly all of the twenty-plus thousand wore them.
The freedoms I have worked hard to get back, by suffering lockdown, obviously has no meaning for most of my locals. Come on people don’t be so arrogant to think that this terrorist called Covid has gone from our lives. Show some care.
I have a new rule, when the shops are crowded I will wear my mask. By crowded I mean sardine level packed. The new area down by the trains is one area, it’s near Coles and food court. I was talking to one of the workers there, who said I was the first she had seen wearing a mask in a week. She was very worried about getting the bug, working there fulltime.
It’s time I think to shed the ME attitudes and think of the US! if nothing else comes of this whole debacle the protest has shown me that not only do Black Lives Matter.
BUT
All Lives Matter.
