Misty morning.

We have had some issues over the self-isolation rules.

I am recuperating from major surgery so my decision was easy- stay at home.

Since my hubby runs a lab and it is classed as essential he has to go outside some of the time to manage it. We decided that to remain safe he has to get any emergency groceries/drugs etc when he ventures out of doors. We both agreed that there’s less chance of one getting covid-19 than the two of us venturing out. And if he catches it we have already worked out the isolation room.

So far so good.

But we have come across an unusual conundrum.

His choice of what to wear each day has become a real problem for him. Home clothes are not protective enough for lab work and work gear at home is uncomfortable and hot.

Anyway, this particular day he got himself into a real conniption. Having had to change at least twice a day ( normally being a workaholic he is at work for long hours, so this doesn’t usually happen) he had lost his work shoes.

We spent hours hunting for them. Even looked in the fridge – an item most used by him when at home. We have repetitive arguments about the fridge being opened constantly, but I digress.

Now I should explain, hubby’s shoes are men’s size 12. These are not easy items to lose. They weigh over 2kg. You would think finding them easy! But alas No.

Frustrated, he went to work in his ’good’ loafers. Worried about wrecking them as acids take a toll on leather. Grumbling all the way to work.

This morning I was up early, lucky enough to see the glorious misty morning that nature had brought me. I went outside onto our verandah to photograph it. Turned around and there on my chair was…
