I am on a flight going back to Sydney after a weird weather week in Melbourne. The day we landed it was 12 degrees C. Yesterday it was 35 degrees. There has been rain, wind, sunshine, thunder and lightning, humidity.
I am wondering if this has always been so with Melbourne?
There have always been comments on the changability of Melbournes weather as far back as I can remember and melbourne does have a reputation. But to be honest I cant remember such dramatic changes in the temperatures during just one week.
The dilemma for me is that something dreadful is lurking in the deep recesses of my mind. There is a term being bandy about by our politicians who talk about it rarely but when they do it is in such a loose uninterested way that we the is the term CLIMATE CHANGE.
It keeps popping into my head like some boogieman.
