I’m listening to the bull frogs, their noise is almost deafening. First the rain then the sunshine they’re in seventh heaven, a chance to mate. Whoopeee!!
Meanwhile in the ‘real world’ – I think the sun has come out to assist the climate change protesters – to try and get their message across to the deniers. The sun is telling us to “get out there and have a say, protect the world I have nutured for millenia”.
Whilst I am listening to the bullfrogs frantic chorus, I realise that nature will continue, and will eventually adapt to what we humans are throwing at it. But, in the effort to adapt, I think nature will get rid of us – the human race – by throwing the devastation we are wreaking on the earth…back at us.
Hang on! Is it just me or this already happening?
I keep thinking of the Rocky Horror Show quote by Richard O’Brien –
“And Crawling on the planet’s face, some insects called the human race. Lost in time, and lost in space…and meaning.” (1975)
Dire I know, especially on such a beautiful sunshiny day. But please stop and have a think about your place on this earth and how you impact it.
